Abstract
According to Zhao Kaiwei, in the past, most of the "small vegetables" sold by merchants were wholesaled from Beijing's Xinfadi Market, resulting in high costs. After HIGREEN was built, vegetable wholesalers have seen their businesses grow steadily. Merchants who previously only sold vegetables from northern regions now also connect with cultivation bases in Yunnan, Hainan, Fujian, Zhejiang, and other regions. Currently, more than 95% of the vegetables in this market are "directly shipped" from their places of origin.
Direct delivery from the place of origin brings price advantages. Now, HIGREEN’s coverage extends beyond just the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region—secondary vegetable wholesalers from places like Shandong and Liaoning are also coming here to source their goods. “Currently, secondary and tertiary agricultural markets account for about 60% of our entire downstream customer base, and our merchants have also established partnerships with dozens of chain supermarkets, restaurants, and e-commerce platforms,” said Zhao Kaiwei.
