On the afternoon of February 25, Zhang Jinying, Vice Chairperson of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and her delegation, accompanied by Dou Shuangju, Chairperson of the Jinghai District CPPCC, and Yang Chengguang, Deputy District Mayor, conducted a special research visit to Tianjin (Jinghai) HIGREEN, focusing on "Preventing Food Safety Risks and Promoting the Construction of a Healthy Tianjin." They inspected and provided on-site guidance on food safety-related work. Liu Zongyu, Chairman of the company, reported on Tianjin HIGREEN’s development over the past few years and on the specific measures taken to build HIGREEN into a safe-food-focused enterprise.

Zhang Jinying and her delegation listened to a special briefing from the company and toured the agricultural product quality inspection and testing laboratory, the imported fruit trading area, the vegetable trading area, and the meat trading center. They asked in detail about the regulatory approaches adopted by the market supervision authorities and the company to implement a closed-loop control system covering the entire process of food safety management. They expressed full recognition of Tianjin HIGREEN’s practices in safeguarding people’s livelihoods, strengthening food safety controls, promoting adjustments to the agricultural industrial structure, and boosting local economic development. She emphasized that the market operators must earnestly fulfill their principal responsibilities, rigorously controlling quality at every stage of distribution—especially for products that are particularly difficult to regulate, such as live pigs without tags, poultry, and beef and mutton. They should actively explore centralized management and modern contactless rail-based meat trading models. Relevant departments should come up with practical and feasible solutions to further enhance food safety standards.
