Abstract
On March 19, Wang Zhilin, Deputy Director of the Municipal Commission of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, along with his delegation, visited the Tianjin HIGREEN Market, part of Shenzhen Nongke Group, accompanied by Ma Guoqing, Director of the Jinghai District Agricultural Committee. They conducted an in-depth on-site investigation and held a symposium focusing on topics such as agricultural product market development, food safety management, showcasing high-quality Tianjin agricultural products, and adjusting the structure of the agricultural industry. The group toured the Comprehensive Agricultural Products Exhibition and Sales Center, the Sliding-Rail Pork Trading Hall, and the Digital Exhibition Hall. They expressed full recognition of Tianjin HIGREEN’s practices in safeguarding people's livelihoods, strengthening food safety management, promoting adjustments to the agricultural industrial structure, and boosting local economic development.
During the subsequent symposium, Wang Zhilin had an in-depth discussion with the company on topics including our city’s meat distribution and regulatory models, as well as the promotion and sales of Tianjin’s high-quality agricultural products and the empowerment of regional specialty agricultural brands. He stated that every visit to Tianjin HIGREEN brings him new insights, and he is full of confidence in HIGREEN’s future. He emphasized that the establishment of a centralized meat control model should be anchored in national policies and guided by the goal of ensuring food safety. Tianjin HIGREEN has come up with a practical and feasible plan, organizing a team to study the meat distribution and regulatory models in Shanghai and Guangzhou. The Agricultural Commission, together with relevant departments, will jointly promote this initiative, enhancing synergies across the entire meat industry chain—from production and processing to transportation, wholesale, and retail—and supporting the development of this new model and the creation of industrial benefits. He also suggested strengthening deepened cooperation between the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Daya Bay area, hoping that Tianjin HIGREEN can serve as a bridge and link. He proposed setting up forward warehouses as supporting platforms to facilitate the smooth flow of high-quality agricultural products between the two regions. The Municipal Agricultural Commission, working closely with the market, will further promote the connection between production and sales of Tianjin’s distinctive and advantageous agricultural products, enhance brand effectiveness, boost brand benefits, and provide relevant services and support to help enterprises grow.
Liu Zongyu, Chairman of Tianjin HIGREEN, introduced the company's efforts in exploring centralized control and contactless rail-based modern trading models for meat products, as well as its initiatives in showcasing and selling high-end ingredients and premium Tianjin agricultural products. He stated that, as a state-owned enterprise, Tianjin HIGREEN is willing to shoulder its responsibilities and proactively explore centralized control models for meat distribution, establish a secure traceability system, promote the healthy development of meat circulation in Tianjin, and assist the government in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of regulatory oversight, thereby addressing food safety issues at their root. In addition, the company has created the "Fushi Market," a specialized zone for selling high-quality agricultural products, introducing premium ingredients and Tianjin’s signature agricultural specialties. Through the Shennong Group’s nationwide network, we are enabling seamless connectivity and exchange of high-quality agricultural products. We will always regard serving the public welfare and improving people’s livelihoods as our core mission, continuously enhancing our market operation and management service levels, and contributing our part to promoting the high-quality development of Tianjin’s agricultural industry and ensuring the well-being of the local population.
