Abstract
As the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army approaches, in order to deeply commemorate the glorious achievements of our revolutionary forefathers, carry forward the red gene, and uphold the honorable tradition of supporting the military and caring for veterans, Tianjin HIGREEN meticulously organized a special themed event titled “Approaching the Days of War and Reliving Military Life” on August 1. Liu Zongyu, Secretary of the Party Branch and Chairman of the Board; Nie Dongfang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and General Manager; Guo Jun, Deputy General Manager; as well as veteran merchants and employee representatives attended the event. This activity aimed to recall those heroic years and rekindle the spirit of military service, expressing the company’s profound respect and heartfelt care for the many veteran merchants and employees.
At 2:30 p.m., the HIGREEN event staff arrived outside the museum. The golden plaque inscribed with “Memorial Hall of the Pingjin Campaign,” penned by Marshal Nie Rongzhen, gleamed brilliantly in the sunlight. In the square, the Monument to Victory stood tall and imposing; the two groups of sculptural reliefs—“Fighting Side by Side” and “The People Support the Front”—were vividly lifelike, complementing the display of heavy weaponry and creating a solemn and profound historical atmosphere. After entering the exhibition hall, guided by the museum’s docents, visitors sequentially toured the Exhibition Areas including the Decision-Making Hall, the Implementation Hall, the People Support the Front Hall, the Great Victory Hall, and the Hall of Martyrs’ Achievements. The docents provided detailed explanations of the political situation and military landscape at the time of the Pingjin Campaign, elucidating the deep-rooted causes and historical inevitability behind its outbreak. As everyone gazed upon the more than one hundred precious historical artifacts and meticulously recreated scenes displayed in the halls, they felt as if they had been transported back to that turbulent era 77 years ago, immersed in the smoke and flames of war. They profoundly appreciated the glorious history forged by the revolutionary forerunners through arduous struggles, as well as their noble spirit of self-sacrifice and courageous fight for justice. Moved by this, they couldn’t help but feel deep respect and admiration. They also realized that this unwavering loyalty and sense of responsibility toward the revolutionary cause is something we must forever cherish and remember.

After the tour, everyone returned to the company, where a heartwarming and joyful “Military-Civilian Bond—Dumpling-Making Event” unfolded in full swing. Everyone rolled up their sleeves and worked together in an organized manner: some rolled out the dough, while others carefully filled and shaped the dumplings. The scene was filled with constant laughter and cheerful chatter. With nimble fingers flying back and forth, dumplings of all shapes and sizes quickly lined up on trays. Through collaboration and communication, participants deepened their mutual understanding and forged even stronger bonds. These dumplings not only symbolize family reunion but also embody the deep-seated camaraderie between the military and civilians. In the simplest of ways, everyone relived the warmth and spirit of cooperation that characterizes the big military family.

Next came the “Military Camp Memories” quiz session, which focused on topics such as common knowledge about military life, glorious traditions, and famous battles. Everyone eagerly jumped in to answer questions, reinforcing their knowledge of revolutionary history through interactive engagement and further deepening their bonds with one another. As the time for the shared dinner arrived, everyone gathered around the table, savoring dumplings they’d made themselves and the festive meals thoughtfully prepared by the company. In a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, they exchanged warm greetings, reminisced about their past camaraderie, listened to fascinating stories from their military days, and together looked forward to the future development of Tianjin HIGREEN.
This special thematic event provided the veterans at Tianjin HIGREEN with a profound red education, enhancing emotional exchanges between the military and civilians. Everyone will devote themselves to their subsequent work with even greater enthusiasm and high spirits, honing their skills and contributing their strength to the company’s development and the nation’s prosperity.
